MHCC is running a Certificate II in Community Services, starting in March this year. It aims to help people with a lived experience of mental health conditions or carers to transition to further study or work.
There is a free Information Session on Monday 24 February in Queanbeyan for anyone who is interested in enrolling in the qualification.
Your pathway to community mental health work
Enrol now in a Certificate II in Community Services, running in Queanbeyan March 2020.
The CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services qualification will give you the confidence and skills to pursue a career in community services, mental health or peer support work.
The Certificate II is a pathway to further study and may lead to a valuable work placement or volunteer position. This training will prepare you for a transition to the workplace through teaching you communications skills, how to deal with stress and competing tasks in the workplace, how to support people in mental distress and how to work in a trauma informed way.
All learning is supported by our highly experienced and inspiring trainers with one-on-one student support available throughout.
The only entry requirement is to be 18 years and over. Simply attend 14 full-day workshops, over five months, with 3 additional trainer support days and complete supported self-paced learning.
