In Week 3 of Creative Care for Recovery our students nurtured their own 'Inner Garden' by creating their own sensory garden mandalas/danmala.

Art therapy processes work effectively with thoughts and emotions which are hard to express or find words for. Bringing these out on paper / art expression, it can help to bring clarity and insight
Art is self-led, strength based. It is a powerful way to self-exploration and knowledge
This week J'Qui taught our students how they can connect to the memories and emotions of particular flowers and herbs and what that evokes for them.
Students learnt how to draw their own mandalas and how to use this as a tool in their daily practice of creative self care.
