A fantastic new two-week course, My Rights, My Decisions, will be going ahead on the 23rd & 30th June 2020 from 1:30pm-4:30pm.
The aim of this course is to improve student’s understanding of an individual’s rights to express their views and preferences about their mental health treatment, care and support within the context of the ACT Mental Health Act (2015).
Students will have the opportunity to learn about the principles of the Act which supports the rights of consumers and carers to express themselves while they have decision-making capacity, and the tools which support empowering an individual’s rights and decisions to be taken into account by their treating team.
