Term 3 Expressions of Interest - Now Open

Updated: Jul 28

It's with much excitement (and relief) that we can now let you all know that the Term 3, 2020 Course Expressions of Interest are now open.

With COVID still very much a prominent contributor to how we are all going about our day-to-day businesses, the whole team at the Recovery College have had to make the very hard decision to really look at our capacity to deliver our usual number of courses.

As many of you are aware, last term we quickly had to adapt to delivering our classes online. This was a much bigger task then we ever anticipated and really took it's toll on the well-being of the crew here. So in order for us to catch up both physically at the College and personally with our own well-being, this term we will only be offering a very small number of courses.

The courses on offer for this term will be:

  • DoNOHarm: Safe storytelling presented by MIEACT - single 1/2 day session

  • Buried In Treasures - 3 hours x 16 weeks (broken up over 2 terms)

  • Anxiety: It's not that simple - 3 hours x 4 weeks

We will also be holding a couple of seminars throughout the term. These will be on:

  • Mood Disorders presented by Dr Famta Lowden, Consultant Psychiatrist and Chair of ACT Branch RANZCP

  • Pain and Mental Health presented by Jude King, Pain Management Counsellor from Catch the Calm

To support our Educators we are hosting a wonderful new initiative of MIEACT - Self Care Canberra. You can read more about this wonderful initiative for your own workplace here

In order to offer enrolments to new students, we have had to undertake some big changes to our intake procedures. These new procedures are now in place and we are very pleased to announce that we are now able to accept New Student Enrolments to attend courses this term. The image below outlines the steps involved in the Student Enrolment process.

For any new students wishing to enrol at the College please complete a New Student Enrolment form which can be found on the home page of our website.

For any previously enrolled students of the College, you will find the Term 3 Expression of Interest form located on the Term 3, 2020 page of our website.
