We are excited to announce that Carlin will be joining the ACT Recovery College as an intern from the University of Canberra, Psychology Department.
The Recovery College was approached to consider having a university intern over the winter semester to assist with co-developing and reviewing recovery focused course material. We are delighted that Carlin applied to the College, to put his theory into practice whilst learning about the mental health recovery model.
Carlin is studying a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and will be on placement here until August. He is excited to be working alongside John, Student Support Assistant, to co-develop a brand new course on depression.
Hi my name is Carlin. I am a 3rd year psychology student at UC. I have very strong interest in human psychology and behaviour. I applied for my internship at the ACTRC because it aligns with my interests in mental health and recovery. The work the College is involved with is quite unique in nature and I particularly like the communal experience and student-centred approach.
We look forward to working alongside Carlin during his stay here and look forward to seeing his new course up and running in the very near future.
